PATNA:पाकिस्तान के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति परवेज मुशर्रफ का आज निधन हो गया.ये खबर पाकिस्तानी मीडिया के हवाले से सामने आई है.दुबई के अस्पताल में चल रहा था इलाज.79 की उम्र में आखिरी सांस ली.मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स में मुशर्रफ के परिजनों के हवाले से कहा गया है कि उन्होंने एमाइलॉयडोसिस के कारण आज दम तोड़ दिया. उन्हें कुछ हफ्तों के लिए अस्पताल में भर्ती करवाया गया था.जिसके चलते उनके सभी अंगों ने काम करना बंद कर दिया.
1999 में सफल सैन्य तख्तापलट के बाद परवेज मुशर्रफ दक्षिण एशियाई राष्ट्र के दसवें राष्ट्रपति थे.1998 में तत्कालीन पाक पीएम नवाज शरीफ ने परवेज मुशर्रफ पर भरोसा करके उन्हें पाकिस्तानी सेना का प्रमुख बनाया.लेकिन एक साल बाद ही 1999 में जनरल मुशर्रफ ने नवाज शरीफ का तख्तापलट कर दिया और पाकिस्तान के तानाशाह बन गए.उनके सत्ता संभालते ही नवाज शरीफ को परिवार समेत पाकिस्तान छोड़ना पड़ा था.
परवेज मुशर्रफ 20 जून 2001 से 18 अगस्त 2008 तक पाकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति रहे.उन्होंने 1998 से 2001 तक 10वें CJCSC और 1998 से 2007 तक 7वें शीर्ष जनरल के रूप में कार्य किया.मई 2016 में पाकिस्तान की कोर्ट ने देशद्रोह के आरोपों का सामना कर रहे परवेज मुशर्रफ को भगोड़ा घोषित किया था.मजिसके बाद वो भागकर दुबई चले गए थे.
कॉलेज की पढ़ाई खत्म करने के बाद 21 साल की उम्र परवेज मुशर्रफ ने बतौर जूनियर अफसर पाकिस्तानी आर्मी जॉइन कर ली.उन्होंने 1965 के युद्ध में भारत के खिलाफ लड़ाई लड़ी.ये युद्ध पाकिस्तान हार गया.बावजूद इसके बहादुरी से लड़ने के लिए पाक सरकार की ओर से मुशर्रफ को मेडल दिया गया.
1971 के युद्ध में भी मुशर्रफ की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रही.जिसे देखते हुए सरकार ने उन्हें कई बार प्रमोट किया.1998 में परवेज मुशर्रफ जनरल बने। उन्होंने भारत के खिलाफ कारगिल की साजिश रची.लेकिन बुरी तरह से असफल रहे। अपनी जीवनी ‘ ‘इन द लाइन ऑफ फायर – अ मेमॉयर’ में जनरल मुशर्रफ ने लिखा कि उन्होंने कारगिल पर कब्जा करने की कसम खाई थी.लेकिन नवाज शरीफ की वजह से वो ऐसा नहीं कर पाए.
