KISHANGANJ:किशनगंज के कांग्रेस सांसद डॉ.मोहम्मद जावेद का पार्टी के अंदर सियासी क़द बढ़ गया है.कांग्रेस चुनाव समिति में मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे,सोनिया गांधी, राहुल गांधी के साथ डॉ.जावेद बिहार से शामिल इकलौते नेता हैं.उनके सामने मीरा कुमार,निखिल सिंह,तारिक़ अनवर,अखिलेश सिंह सब छोटे पड़ गये हैं.सोलह सदस्यीय चुनाव समिति में सलमान ख़ुर्शीद के साथ जगह पाने वालों में डॉ मोहम्मद जावेद दूसरे मुस्लिम नेता हैं.
कांग्रेस पार्टी में सांसद डॉ मोहम्मद जावेद का कद बढ़ने पर जबरदस्त किशनगंज समेत पूरे बिहार में ज़बरदस्त उत्साह है.कांग्रेस चुनाव समिति में शामिल होने के बाद आलाकमान से मिलकर दिल्ली से लौटने पर बागडोगरा एयरपोर्ट पर समर्थकों ने उनका जोरदार स्वागत किया.इस मौक़े पर स्थानीय विधायक इजहारुल हुसैन सहित पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं की भारी भीड़ थी.
कांग्रेस ने अगले लोकसभा चुनाव और उससे पहले कई राज्यों में होने वाले विधानसभा चुनाव की तैयारियां तेज कर दी हैं. इसी कड़ी में 4 सितंबर को कांग्रेस ने अपनी चुनाव समिति की घोषणा की. जिसमें 16 नेताओं के नाम शामिल हैं. कांग्रेस के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे के अलावा इस समिति में सोनिया गांधी, राहुल गांधी, अम्बिका सोनी, अधीर रंजन चौधरी, सलमान खुर्शीद, मधुसूदन मिस्त्री, एन. उत्तम कुमार रेड्डी, टी एस सिंह देव, के जे जियोग्रे, प्रीतम सिंह, डॉ.मोहम्मद जावेद, अमी याज्ञनिक, पीएल पुनिया, ओंकार मरकाम और के सी वेणुगोपाल शामिल हैं.
कांग्रेस से मुस्लिम चेहरा में डॉ.मोहम्मद जावेद का किशनगंज से चुनाव लड़ना तय है.यह कांग्रेस की सिटिंग सीट है.जब महागठबंधन बिहार की 39 सीट हार गयी थी तब इकलौते डॉ. मोहम्मद जावेद आज़ाद ने किशनगंज सीट जीत कांग्रेस और गठबंधन की लाज बचायी थी.
