PATNA:सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग मामले में गाजियाबाद की विशेष अदालत द्वारा सम्मन को चुनौती देने वाली पत्रकार राणा अय्यूब की याचिका मंगलवार को खारिज कर दी है. मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग मामले में गाजियाबाद कोर्ट ने उन्हें समन जारी किया था.इस समन को उन्होंने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चुनौती दी थी.
जस्टिस वी रामासुब्रमण्यन और जेबी पारदीवाला की पीठ ने अय्यूब को ट्रायल कोर्ट के समक्ष क्षेत्राधिकार का मुद्दा उठाने की अनुमति देते हुए कहा कि यह सबूत का सवाल है. शीर्ष अदालत ने समन को चुनौती देने वाली अय्यूब की याचिका पर 31 जनवरी को अपना फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया था.
याचिका खारिज होने से साफ हो गया है कि राणा अय्यूब पर अब मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग का केस गाजियाबाद की PMLA कोर्ट में ही चलेगा.ऐसे में माना जा रहा है कि जल्द ही राणा अय्यूब को कोर्ट में पेश होना पड़ सकता है.
पिछले साल 29 नवंबर को गाजियाबाद में विशेष पीएमएलए (धन शोधन निवारण अधिनयिम) अदालत ने ईडी द्वारा दायर आरोपपत्र पर संज्ञान लिया था और अय्यूब को समन किया था.पिछले साल 12 अक्टूबर को ईडी ने अय्यूब के खिलाफ आरोपपत्र दायर किया और उन पर लोगों को धोखा देने तथा दान के नाम पर मिली 2.69 करोड़ रुपये की रकम का निजी संपत्ति बनाने में इस्तेमाल करने में तथा विदेश योगदान अधिनियम का उल्लंघन करने का आरोप लगाया.ईडी ने एक बयान में कहा, राणा अय्यूब ने अप्रैल 2020 से ‘केटो’ प्लेटफॉर्म पर तीन धन जुटाने वाले अभियान शुरू किए और कुल 2,69,44,680 रुपये की धनराशि एकत्र की.
